This is debatable as told by the US Agriculture Secretary last week on the BBC (I found his stance offensive). But even the Red Tractor standard in the UK has high density sheds, similar to those in the USA / Brazil. Part of the problem, is the use of fast growing birds that develop large breasts that their skeletons are unable to support.
