Just combined some OXO cubes with nitrous oxide in the kitchen.

My wife tells me I’ve made myself a laughing stock.

It’s a screenshot from someone else’s website, but:

Pro capite is Italian
Per Capita is a medieval English bastardisation (mistake) of the Latin, as opposed to ‘per stirpes’ (among the branches/roots, used in wills).
Although the Romans would probably have said per caput or in capita.
Per Capita has become an accepted English term for ‘for each person’ or per head.

Pro capite is (late) Latin. Pro = for, Capite (capiti) = caput, capitis (head).
We say pro capite meaning one each, but it’s not Italian.

Whatever.
I’ve got enough going on in my life right now without having to take responsibility for some monk’s misunderstanding of Latin six hundred years ago.
Per Capita is what the anglophone world uses for the expression: ‘for each person’.

It’s not my fault.

Those jokes are hilarious. Especially liked the barber one.

No problem. I know that it’s more fun to correct than be corrected.

They were easily dodged, it was the bunch of keys with a less clearly defined flightpath that hurt.
