The Last Kingdom
Just finished season 4, superb.
When this started I described it to friends as ‘Game of Thrones Lite’, however as GOT ran out of Martin penned material the quality of what was presented dipped sadly, before hurtling off a cliff. Conversely The Last Kingdom is getting stronger with each season.
If you haven’t given this series a go then if you like historic fantasy you are in for a treat. Game of Thrones without the dragons, and perhaps all the better for it.

Been watching Life on Mars and moved on to Ashes to Ashes. Missed it when it was actually on telly. Wow how did I miss this very cleverly done and actually very funny at times.
Watched the first 3 episodes last night. Interesting, I’ll keep watching as it seems to be getting better with each episode. Thanks for the heads up.
Added it to my list to check out. Should get me through winter.

Finished the 3rd season last night. It’s a bit disappointing there’s just not enough killing and bloodshed for my liking. 
God knows (or should I say gods) how he’s managed to live this long.
Also am I the only that is getting confused by this thread and the Interesting TV one.
Yes, it has the standard problem that he has star invulnerability, but that is made up for in the fact that things frequently go left on him.
I think binging is exactly what you are doing. Good TV can include anything you watch and would recommend …but you’re right, it is a paper thin difference.

Season 2 of Dead to Me on Netfix has just arrived today.
Christina Applegate gave an outstanding performance in Season 1, her character suffering from some of the actor’s real life health struggles. James Marsden and Linda Cardellini are also very good.
Just started series 2 of Altered Carbon last night. Lots of great sci-fi effects and confusing storyline’s, but no nude scenes in the first episode.

The second series was OK but I thought ran out of steam and had people who were presented as intelligent doing stupid things.
Almost finished The Last Kingdom season 4, just read that there will be a 5th season. I’m surprised they haven’t run out of extras and tomato sauce. I am enjoying it though, and will look forward to the next season, again thanks for the heads up.

Although, when they have people travel a distance I wish they carried some supplies, if only water.
And like GOT they get there really quickly, wished the nag I backed on Saturday was as quick.
