You rarely have enough reach to fill the frame with a wild bird, so with a 200mm, it can be effective to include the bird’s environment.

Same at 400mm a lot of the time!

We are staying in a local farm cottage for three weeks while our new kitchen is fitted. Being surrounded by a moat and trees is lovely.
