You rarely have enough reach to fill the frame with a wild bird, so with a 200mm, it can be effective to include the bird’s environment.

The guy waited for such a long time to capture the fish that I chose not to improve my angle and chance to cause him to drop his catch.
I’m slowly realising that most birds are scary looking things.
We are staying in a local farm cottage for three weeks while our new kitchen is fitted. Being surrounded by a moat and trees is lovely.

Ibis have earned the nickname of bin chickens but really they’re just a native that’s learnt to adapt.

This little chap decided to visit. Captured with a soft towel and taken outside, he flew back up in to the tree just outside.
