Birding Time, Your local and international patch…

Minus Two

Two large feathers are missing from the left wing of the Bald Eagle and probably will not grow back till spring time. In the meantime, he is able to glide smoothly without any noticeable need for compensation, not that I would have minded if he chose lower altitudes. My 300mm definitely has its limits.

What’s this, some new treats?

Are you sure…?

Well, thanks very much!

Of course, there’s always one whose eyes are bigger than their tummy…

Think it looks more like a song thrush

“The meadow pipit looks quite a lot like a song thrush, however it is much smaller is size and is only slightly larger than great tit.”

Hard to tell without something for scale

Yep, could be…

A Song Thrush it is then. Thx :slightly_smiling_face:

Before anybody starts making any accusation, this pheasant has definitely not been AI generated. :innocent:

No birds this morning.

Just snow and a squirrel. Presumably a lot of birds that frequent my garden have never seen snow.

Managed to bag a shot of a Eurasian Jay yesterday on my cold walk.
