Minus Two
Two large feathers are missing from the left wing of the Bald Eagle and probably will not grow back till spring time. In the meantime, he is able to glide smoothly without any noticeable need for compensation, not that I would have minded if he chose lower altitudes. My 300mm definitely has its limits.

What I believe to be a Meadow Pipet. Though it is trying to hide in a tree…

What’s this, some new treats?
Are you sure…?
Well, thanks very much!
Of course, there’s always one whose eyes are bigger than their tummy…

“The meadow pipit looks quite a lot like a song thrush, however it is much smaller is size and is only slightly larger than great tit.”
Hard to tell without something for scale
A Song Thrush it is then. Thx

Puffiness is a must
…in a minus twenty degrees weather. A Tufted Titmouse is a waiting patiently for his turn at the bird feeder.

No birds this morning.
Just snow and a squirrel. Presumably a lot of birds that frequent my garden have never seen snow.
