Really looking forward to this one.

Saw them at Leeds Beckett a few years back, and they were terrific.

One of the loudest gigs ever. :+1:

Fingers crossed, Astbury’s pitch perfect voice is still holding out ok.

Rock on.

ELVIS COSTELLO & STEVE NIEVE

Manchester 8/9.

Despite owning umpteen of his albums starting with his debut which I still rate his best, I’ve never seen him live.

Off to Manchester on November 20 for
Laurie Anderson’s ARK United States V concert at The Hall, Aviva Sudios.

Her last gig in London a couple of years ago was cancelled through Covid, and it’s been a too-long time since her all-dayer at the Dominion in the 80’s, so I’m really looking forward to this.

The Undertones/Something Happens - 7 December 2024

Too early for 2025? - Lloyd Cole 27 January 2025

Both in the Olympia Theatre, Dublin.

@Pete_the_painter - didn’t you see Lloyd recently IIRC?

Peter

Earlier this year in Sydney, very low key show. I really enjoyed it though, the track the Idiot and a Bowie cover were the highlights.

What was the Bowie cover? Love that Idiot track too, very nostalgic and heartwarming.

Off to the Proms tonight to see Sakari Oramo conduct The Planets

A lot’s happened since then but I think it was Can You Hear Me.

Del Amitri at Shepherd’s Bush on December 3rd. I fear future opportunities may be limited, depending on the progress of Justin’s condition.

Great news, still LOUD too, I hope.

It’s a small-ish venue. Holds about 2000 standing. Have seen them a few times there before and yes was loud. Sound wasn’t bad but seems Ian was having mic issues at times. And he had fun throwing his tambourine around. Not sure whether intentional or not. That black Gretch and AC30 combination sounded fantastic.
