My only concert this year is the Unthanks on 7 December in Worthing. It’s at the Assembly Rooms. The last concert I saw there was The Specials in June 1980. So only 44 years ago!
Richard Ashcroft at the Royal Albert Hall. October 25th
I don’t know if I’ll go yet, but on Saturday a pub in my West Yorkshire town has the brilliantly named tribute band Ey Up Maiden playing.
Wishbone Ash at The Brook in Southampton the week after next, while wifey & daughter are flying over to New York State for a “yarn, craft & sheep” fair!
“I’m gonna need a bigger Lego“
Saw The Darts (US) last night at Prince Albert, Brighton (what a pub!). Utterly brilliant gig, great performance & sound. Check out their latest album “Boomerang” if you’re interested.
Just booked tickets for Wilco at RAH in June 25 and Hawkwind at Barbican in May 25
Heading to London in the morning for the weekend.
Taking in the ABBA show again on Sunday evening - saw it last December - this time from the seats.
Have invited Agnetha out for a drink afterwards but she hasn’t returned my call yet, very strange.
If you are at the 6pm show on Sunday, tap me on the shoulder and say hello. I will be the one in the Dave Hill platform heels…
Yep, I’m going to the 6pm show.
I’m sure I’ll spot you in that outfit
Have a fab night.
See you there Kev…
PS Ese’s not that old, surely!
My wife will be away next week, so it’s Wishbone Ash on Tuesday at The Brook in Southampton.
Kev is there a listing of Ese’s concerts anywhere? I do occasional cat sitting duties in Forest Hill and would love to get to see her and the band live.
@suzywong best thing to do is to sign up to Songkick and follow Ese & The Vooduu People (or any other artist you’re interested in) and then you get an email as soon as tickets for gigs by the artist(s) you follow go on sale.
Also, gigs are posted on the E&TVP Bandcamp page as they are announced. Looks like there will be no more gigs this year after the solo show in Camden and the Troubadour band gig later this month. But you never know!
Thx Kev, that’s exactly the sort of steer I was looking for!
25th October at the Troubaour? *************!!! That’s the very day wife & daughter get back from their transatlantic jolly and I’ll be on taxi duty all day. Could Ese put it back a week, and I could then do the Van Gogh at the Nat on the same day?
Eeek! No Vooduu Christmas…?
Say it ain’t so Joe.
