Good match. Nepal have given England a real scare.
It was a great game.
That’s an impressive innings from UAE. The associate nations aren’t winning matches against the major teams (so far), but they are batting really well against top attacks.
Yes it was, until..
What a game!
Must be technically the closest game in history.
Seems one game required 3 SO’s !!
Wow.
What amuses and confuses me is why many nations leave the last 2 overs (especially the last) to their often erratic quicker bowlers. Archer got pummelled in the recent game, as did Rabada, who has a history of front-foot issues. Where is the slower-bowler who can fire in at leg stump i.e. not giving enough pace for the ramp. It seems bowlers of all ilks nowadays like to trust their ability to bowl wide as a defensive measure, rather than rely on their ability to hit a fuller length?
TMS have had a text from a New Zealand fan. “Two super overs? Who’s have thought it?” ![]()
I never did the figure the logic that the team batting 2nd in the SO had to score more runs to win.
Bit of an implosion here. Fine playing by WI, but some sloppiness from England.
Some U15 level running between the wickets.
Not even close in the end. WI were better.
Hmmm, Italy’s performance against Nepal puts England’s into context.
At the moment the taxi for Mr McCullum is on standby. Many people felt he will be judged after this tournament. We said that after the Ashes though didn’t we.
Bruce
That is fantastic for Italy. What a result!!!
Is that the best bowling performance of the tournament? Shepherd has a fifer, but Erasmus took 4/20 in an innings of 209, including a 19th over that only went for 7.
That didn’t last long, 4/17 against Australia…
And a Zimbabwe win ![]()
