I don’t see that coming. Very impressive from Zimbabwe.
The minnows seem to be taking Rash on in a way that WI didn’t.
Squeaky bum time for England. ![]()
Again.
Turns out it was nae bother
England making heavy work of it again!
I’d feel happier I think if they were playing stupidly and slogging balls that aren’t there to be hit. But several of them have just played bad shots to balls they would have put away.
“Should” be plenty.
Turns out Andrea Bocelli is a cricket fan and sent a voice message to TMS!
I believe the Italian number 3, Jon Jon Smuts, has never been to Italy. Fantastic!!
2 overs to go, SBT.
Not over yet!!!
Italy were really good. They took a liking to some of the England bowling. Credit to them.
Never in doubt!l He lies fluently. (Lucky it finished before the 1pm concert I’m at, I don’t think my blood pressure would have been safe if I’d turned the phone off with 2 overs to go.)
Well, England, once again, give us ‘squeaky bum time’ against a minor nation. Good job England aren’t reliant on NRR.
Definitely, really well played. Rashid’s form is a worry, his control and wicket taking ability are usually critical to England playing well, he’s had 1 good game so far and has been hammered by the associate nations.
Perhaps something to do with sub-continent strips as, so far, they all appear to be slow with, at best, only a hint of turn, which = a lot of ‘sit up and beg’ deliveries, where the batsmen have plenty of time to wallop it around the park. Rash’s better ball is the googly. Was also interesting (to me) that commentators have made the point that ‘pace on’ is dangerous, as the boundaries, especially behind the stumps, are often quite short.
Sri Lanka outplayed the Aussies today with some power hitting, largely square & cow, with some very deft glances and cuts mixed in. Who’d want to be a bowler in these conditions?!
Oh dear. Feel sorry for Ireland.
And the Aussies got what they deserved. I couldn’t even recognise half the team, poor selection poor bowling poor batting.
