Dan's thread

I’m enjoying not drinking. I am really focused on living clean. I’ve even bought myself a new dishwasher and washing machine in celebration of cleanliness.

Maybe I will clean the house tomorrow :muscle:

Had more energy today. Did some household chores, half hour walk and have had no naps today. Been best day yet physically. Appetite better as well. It’s going to take time but on the mend!

That’s funny I could spend all day cleaning and Mrs Pete would still clean up behind me, she’s a cleaning freak.

There’s a family joke that my grandkids used to jump in the bath when she pulled up out the front of the house.

It’s a winking emoji, so he’s winking back at your comment.

It’s a good opportunity for me to do some cleaning as I can’t do any building work just yet. And I like to keep busy! Maybe cleaning and listening to music day tomorrow.

I have watched too much TV. Binge watched Tulsa King Season 2. Very good! Watched heaps of other stuff. Cricket has been good too. Will probably watch some in the morning.

Gee hope she’s getting better. Not sure what your wife’s like but mine would need to be half dead before she’d trust me to do the housework.

She was in bed for a week………doctors not interested, talk to the pharmacy.
She got an unexpected call from her doctor……thought i would call you about a checkup and medicines you are taking. She was less than happy.

Sounds like the UKs NHS makes our Medicare seem perfect. Shame.

How about swimming ? It may help too. Not necessarily intensive.

Dan might need to be careful until his wounds heal public pools can be a problem.

I didn’t thought of that. You are right.

I want to try and be a bit isolated at the moment. I don’t want to pick up any coughs or colds or they won’t do the lung surgery.

I can’t have a bath yet. Keeping the wounds dry as possible. So swimming pool not gonna happen. Also I don’t think people will like me in the pool. It put you off your dinner Rooster!

I should be back at work soon. That will sort me out. I am quite isolated at work too.

Smart move, any minor infliction can end up being a major problem. You need to stay safe, I learnt the hard way.

I hope she managed to keep hydrated, that can be nasty, and also hope Mrs G is feeling better.

You’ve changed…

What about an upgrade???

My wife has a strange allergy to pumpkin seeds, she will immediately start burping if she has some, then vomits and falls asleep for c24 hours. She called the doctor to ask about her allergy as it’s getting worse and they said ‘have you tried not eating that’:rofl::rofl:

It just so happens to be most salads, seeded breads, nutrition bars etc etc.

Hi Dan, thought a bit about posting this, but here goes! I’m down in Eastbourne for a week from this evening (half holiday, half work, half youngsters’ swim camp). Very happy to run the odd errand for you if it helps? Would definitely keep away, drop stuff on your doorstep etc, to keep the germs away (and avoid the smell if you haven’t bathed in a week  ).

I know we can get anything and everything delivered these days, so not likely to help much, but the offer is there if it does help.

Hopefully it’s obvious that it’s no problem at all either way!! I really hope the recovery and prep for your next op continues going well
