Thanks for the offer. My daughter is here this weekend so we will do a big shop together. I should be back at work within about 10 days and am out and about every day.

So thank you but I am all good already. Am recovering quickly!

Hope you have a lovely weekend with her.

BTW does she like Russian Techno?

She likes a variety of music. We have listened to alot of different stuff feom Black Sabbath to Al Jarreau and Herbie Hancock. Lots of Peter Gabriel, some Kate Bush. Used Qobuz, Server and LP12.

But not Russian Techno!

Amazon delivery of a new Shark cordless vacuum caught me out a little while ago as it wasn’t supposed to be coming until late November.

There’s always a bit of fun with new gadgets or white goods!

I’ve got all my Dad’s old records. He was very into jazz and soul. My daughter wanted to have a listen to different music. So we played some of these records. She found it interesting. They do sound very good.

How is your recovery going Dan?

Going slow for me. Back at work on monday. My mind wants to get on with things. My body says slow down!

So I have had days where I sit around all day watching TV and listening to music. I say to myself each day to do a small task like wash the car, clean the shower. Then don’t do it!

Keen also to get 2nd op done. Lack of communication on that front too! Starting to chase.

How are you Gazza? Is your Mrs any better?

I guess its a case of listen to your body, the car and shower will get done in time. It was a pretty big operation by any standards, so take care👍

We have come to the conclusion that instead of gastric flu she had covid…….as her sense of smell and taste have changed dramatically……she no longer likes chocolate? Talking to the pharmacist a number of cases of flu symptoms and severe upset stomach have been reported……the covid test kits are either not picking it up or give a positive when you have recovered. She is on the mend.

My wife had Covid in 2021 and still can’t eat chocolate or drink coffee, or anything containing either; even the smell is still repellent to her.

Oops🥺

She has my sympathy, I had around 5 or 6 months of not liking coffee or chocolate during and after my chemo and I did sometimes wonder if my liking them would ever return. I was surprised at how much it impacted me. Like her, I didn’t like the smell so going into coffee shops to meet friends was not something I could do and I hadn’t consciously realised until how often daytime socialising had become coffee shop-based.

I’m having the same issues there’s stuff I use to love that I just can’t stomach right now. Chemo definitely effects your taste buds, I haven’t enjoyed chocolate for months.

I got my haircut today. Then opened up box on new steam cleaner and cleaned shower area grout. And then cleaned cab of van with steam cleaner. Then washed the van. So feeling productive today. Also installed Puritan 156 vertical mount and Ultimate cable.

Cooking steak, sauted potatoes and salad. All good today!

No problem with chocolate, but if it affected the wine…

I haven’t had to cut my hair (what little I have) or trim my beard for almost 6 weeks.

Good to see you’re bouncing back and looking forward to getting back to work. Take care.
