Yours is (presently) listed as 6999!

Hi Peder!
Yes, exactly that cable!
The price in Sweden is 4000 SEK (approx. 320 GBP) for one meter and 5000 SEK (approx. 400 GBP) for two meter.
I donāt know how it compares to for example Chord Shawline and Chord Epic but anyone looking for an Ethernet cable in this price segment could include the True Signal cable among their candidates to test. My guess is that it will perform well for its priceā¦

The ER runs much hotter than the Cisco but this does not seem to be a problem. The temperature is pretty stable and so I am assuming that is what the clock is happy with. The Uptone people did lots of heat tests and are happy with the performance and that the temp is well within specs.
And as a plus, itās great for poaching eggsā¦
I read recently the Audiobacon review. From another reviewer, the Farad is very similar to the Paul Hynes Sr4.
In Audiobacon, the reviewer found that , if globally the Sr4 is a bit better, on audiophile point of view, the Lps 1.2 is better on tones, with a fuller and more organic sound.
If , vs the Farad, the lps 1.2 is sounding fuller and more organic, with nicer tones, without sacrificing too much on other areas, I will prefer the lps 1.2.
But only hypothesis from now, and only from what I read.
So of course will report. I donāt know if I will return the lps 1.2 or sell the Farad. Will know in 10 days.
( look at the heatsink I posted on Etheregen thread, it may interest you).
Hi FR!
When I borrowed the ER and LPS-1.2 from my small local dealer ha also gave me a āFarad DC Power Cable Level 1ā to try.
No, it did not look like the one in the picture. The cable that I borrowed had the small āplugā in both ends to fit the ER and LPS.
If you have a Farad Super 3, the cable should look like the one in the picture since the Farad Super3 have a 4 pin DC output connector, right?
For Farad level 2 DC-cable there is a copper and a silver version (as far as I understand).

On the Farad website, the dc cables have not the same plugs at their ends. Maybe yours is modified.
For now I will not upgrade the dc cableā¦
I must say that Iām a bit disappointed in the ER.
First you must add an external PS, then an external clock and better DC-cables to make it perform really well. Now you also need to add heat sinks for it to not overheat or destroy your expensive Ethernet cablesā¦
One idea would be to actually complete the development work before starting to sell a product
I was told that Farad is flexible with their termination and that you can order DC cable with plugs depending on your need.
I understand, you need to figure out which PS you prefer before you can decide to order a DC-cable or not.
Good luck with your testing!
The heatsink is not absolute necessary, it is performing at 100% without it. I just want to try, it costs 5 dollars.
As you wrote, the ER with its stock ps is already sounding better vs the Cisco.
Adding a linear ps improves it, in the same way as you can improve a component with a better power cord.
The additional clock is still an upgrade, but I will not do it.
Personally I am very satisfied with the ER. But can understand you want something without possible upgrades.
If you buy the Melco 2k Switch, itās the same. You can upgrade it with a big linear ps and expensive power cord.
Even the Cisco can be upgraded with a linear ps. @Peder have done it.
HI Bill
Steve was also kind enough to give me the same galvanic isolator some time ago and Iāve used it with and without the Cisco switch with the same AQ Vodka ethernet cables. My initial impressions were that using both on my home network seem to bring better results. I had the galvanic isolator between the router and switch but have not tried it from the switch to the LAN connection of my Melco ethernet port.
I am now on the process of reconfiguring where the kit will be placed and have temporarily removed the galvanic isolator and simplified the network. Will need to re-compare with and without and placement of the galvanic isolator once I sort out all the cable management and final placement for my growing number of boxes.
Hi Bill, thanks for letting know.
Hope to get to chat again in the future.
Best
Sorry, but dreckly is Cornish, not Devonian, in derivation.
Perhaps, but itās listed as number 7000 when I look at it. There was a total of 6999 listed before I posted it and 7000 after I had posted it.

I must have misread. Congratulations obviously are in order!
8000 anyone?
I think it escaped across the Tamar when the bridge was built at Saltash.
Just a minute. Has this thread deviated ? Is it starting to resemble a well known panel game ?

Can I get toā¦
No, not yet.
Depends if youāre playing using the Quatermass rulesā¦
Love their original LP - but couldnāt find the rules therein
