Football Season 2020 - 2021

I could get quite used to Spurs scoring 6 or 7 goals per game!

About the only positive I can think of from Man U’s point of view is that there wasn’t 70,000-odd fans at Old Trafford to see witness the embarrassment!

Ha! I’m probably one of the only people here who like Maureen (even though he’s a pr!ck).

Wasn’t the Martial sending off ridiculous though?

It was very soft, and Lamella made the most of it, but as a top professional Martial should know better. I’d be furious with him if I was his manager.

It was. Shaw should have been sent off for his tackle on Moura.

It seems we’ve gone from one extreme to another the last few weeks all you had where stupid VAR decisions and this week none not a sausage!

Harry Kane - hold my beer

What odds would you have got on correctly predicting today’s Prem scores?

Liverpool wt…f?

I commented on Liverpool’s defence being too open recently but, goodness me! This evening’s defensive display was truly awful. I used to think Lovren and Matip were a liability but they were never ever as bad as this.

They had it coming I’ve been saying it for a few weeks not to that extent but they are frail at the back.

Mane is a huge loss for them they are only lucky Real Madrid didn’t have the money to buy him.

What a day!!!

7-2!! If this gives the media something else to talk about other than my Saints’ 9-0 defeat last October, then I will be very grateful!

Bravo Villa!

Suspect the Liverpool issue will eventually prove to be about more than 1 players testing positive for COVID-19.

Adrian was fined £1,000 after the game for failing to follow government guidelines and letting in more than six. (Stolen from Facebook, but I thought it was too good not to share.)

Apart from Mane who is a huge loss because he is the focal point and the energy behind their high press this 7-2 had nothing to do with Covid they just got found out.
It started at the end of last year where teams where beginning to get in behind Liverpool’s high line and beat their off side trap look at Arsenal not a sniff against Liverpool in the past 2 or 3 years we have just beaten them 3 times out of 4.

They do not have a plan B as was shown tonight Aston Villa got right into their faces and went over, around and straight through their high line this was a team that finished one point above the relegation zone last year.

I saw a stat tonight that Liverpool won 40% more off sides than any other team last season it’s been a very, very successful strategy for them but it’s high risk and it was only a matter of time before a well organised team put them to the sword.

Now we will see how great a manager Klopp really is and how good that Liverpool team is they are very, very lucky there’s an international break before they meet Everton if that was next week with no Mane and no Alisson they would be well beaten.

Neil Warnock to Man United, anyone?

He has a great track record in avoiding relegation. :joy:
