Yes fingers crossed. I really hope Mikel weathers this storm in the life of every club there are times like this just look at Sir Alex’s tenure at Man U.
I do too but football is so short term nowadays. I don’t think Ferguson or Wenger had good first seasons but he’s having such a torrid time that I’m not sure how it’ll pan out.
I’m hoping that the club keeps faith and they all come out better for it.
I like his press conferences, positive and dignified.
I wanted Mikel when they went for Unai Emery and I really hope the club sticks by him and invests in him. The supporters calling for him to be sacked are the same idiots that called for Arsene a total legend and Unai a very classy and talented manager to be sacked.
The life of a club is filled with ups and downs unfortunately much of the Arsenal fan base started to support the club in the early Wenger years much the same as with Man City and now Liverpool expecting permanent success but as us real supporters know that’s not reality.

As you say, every club has its new generation of fans, part of the attraction is the clubs success at any particular point in time, plus global reach due to the clubs marketing strategy.
I think it would be difficult to define who the real fans are now. You don’t consider any fan who started supporting Arsenal from around 1996 as a real fan?

The way I read your post sounded like you were suggesting the fans that wanted Wenger out were not the “real fans”.
As I am not an Arsenal fan, I am just trying to dig further to know if that was really the case.

Not at all what I meant was that it’s the same fans calling for not only Arsene’s head but any managers head that doesn’t produce instant success.
As it is the duty of parents and grandparents to instil and cultivate the passion in the new generations…
