Football Season 2020 - 2021

Genius!

Thank you.

There’s four games on Amazon at 6pm. Which shold I watch as an impartial observer?

Southampton v West Ham looks theoretically the most interesting but both teams look tired so who knows.

Well I got that wrong! An absolute spanking by Leeds.

And the Mighty Whites slide up to 11th. place, whilst everyone was looking elsewhere.

Most importantly, it restores some respectability to our goal difference.

Viva Marcelo!

M.O.T.

Not the most thrilling game, but it was a point against a very good team. And Antonio’s back. And we defended well. And Dawson did well.

Elsewhere, is this the season ol’ Hippo Head finally gets found out?

Another 3 points for Arsenal at least in a decidedly unexceptionable match against Brighton.
Saka got another assist though and was again a shining light.

Two ostensibly good footballing sides wrestled each other into a dull stalemate at St Mary’s this evening.

Roll on the champions hosted by Saints, here on 4th Jan.

Saints and West Ham looked tired to me.

Fair enough.

How do you keep them fresh and lively? I’m looking for positives.

I think both teams have much to be positive about. The improvement in both is real but at the moment player welfare appears secondary to fixture completion at an insane rate. The results if that are there for all to see.

My word that was awful to watch, but I think we just about deserved the three points at Goodison. Toffees may disagree…

Man United once again had some luck running with them this evening and now sit level with Liverpool at the top of the PL. I’m yet to be convinced that they really are at Liverpool’s level but it is a strange season. Villa will feel they deserved to take something from the game. Their form has been transformed from the side that last season escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth.

I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s game when Mourinho’s defensive Spurs take on a very attack-minded Leeds.

Oh dear the Spurs posse will all be a long later for a bragging session funny we haven’t heard from them in about a month in fact since they beat Arsenal.
Though thank God the cries of Topenham have gone for the REST of the season.

Glad I watched the Spurs v Leeds game. Leeds are very entertaining to watch but it was a victory for efficiency over flair. Spurs seemed to adopt a strategy of ‘contain and wait for the defensive mistake’ and it worked. Once ahead, Spurs cruised.

Meanwhile in the Glasgow derby (yes, I know I’m sad watching two games at the same time), while Celtic looked the better team for most of the game, their indiscipline cost them. Indeed it might well have cost them their title. Gerrard will be pleased with the result but I’m sure he’s under no illusions that Rangers have plenty of room for improvement.

You hope…

As I recently posted …, There was no way Spurs could go through the season without a dose of draws and losses. Even Jose admitted it. The team is nowhere near ‘there’ at the moment.
Still, we are back on track and will be aiming for a top four finish come the end of the season.

Another brilliant performance from Emi Buendia today. Can’t think of a better player outside of the premiership.
As bad as Norwich were last year his stats were still some of the best in the division for creating opportunities.
Very special player, I just hope he sees the season out with us.

Rumours are flying around regarding Buendia and I would absolutely love to see him an Arsenal shirt he is in the mould of all the very best Arsenal creative players of the past and would fit in perfectly.

I know young Charlie Gilmour’s Dad quite well and saw many games at the Emirates using the family season tickets. I know you loaned him straight out to Telstar in Holland where Arsenal’s old Academy coach is manager any news on the grapevine about him coming back to Norwich?

Just about to watch the Gunners play WBA a must win for both sides, looked like it might called off during a blizzard earlier but kick off is imminent.

I don’t think either team deserved one point, let alone three points.:flushed:

I seriously think Tom Davis needs his eyes testing.
