Football Season 2020 - 2021

We’ve some big games coming up against teams around us in the table some real tests of where Mikel is with his Project Arsenal.

I’m a bit worried about the young Icelandic keeper Alex R he looks a bit like a rabbit in the headlights so hopefully Matt Ryan is fit for the Villa game tomorrow.

I remember this came out when Spurs’s challenge to Leicester fell apart. Love it.

Hate it.

Arsenal totally shot themselves in the foot again today against Villa gifting them an early goal after just a couple of minutes so again lapses of concentration costing them 3 points.

On the positive defensively apart from the early gifted goal we looked quite solid and kept Grealish quiet, Martin Ødegaard looked a different class when he came on and should have scored an equaliser but why oh why does Arteta keep bringing Willian on.

As I said to my nephew we have to look at all this as a huge pre season for next year as the FA & League Cup as well as 5th place are gone yes we’re still in the Europa League but I’m not confident.

Saints beaten by nine again :frowning:

“When shall we three meet again.
When will Saints win again”.

The annual fight against relegation has started

Poor game. Dreadful ref in Mike Dean (again). Awful red card decision. Moyes will be furious.

Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Irons!!!

@Christopher_M, from what I saw on MotD, there were defensive failings but the bigger factor was that the footballing gods were just not smiling on the Saints today.

Seems Jose has set up with a more attack minded formation today, lots of pressure, quick and concise football. Will this result in goals?

And so he should against a team pretty much already doomed to relegation. Kane being back makes a big difference but Spurs are hardly sweeping WBA aside.

West Brom look doomed, they couldn’t even beat the Spuds.

A strong team selection from Klopp. Without the Anfield crowd, I can’t see a Liverpool victory today, I think Klopp will be happy with a draw.

It will be interesting to see how Thiago and Jones cope in midfield today.

Agreed, but the problem Spurs have is that they don’t set up like this enough. He should being doing this with the top teams too. He has the talent in the team, I think he should be braver in general, not just against the so called relegated clubs, he might be surprised.

A good half of football, tight and tense. I suppose the penalty had to be given despite being a soft one. But I am pleased with the way Liverpool have stood their ground and started to work around the City box, creating some half chances.

City have been extremely diligent with their pressing.

Spurs are a different team when the ex Norwich player is in the team.

A disastrous second half!

An above average performance from Liverpool…

…they actually scored a goal at home!
