That’s one of the very few matches I’d be happy with a 1-0.

The lucky West Ham Xmas socks have served me well so far in 2021…

Yeah, but do they get washed in between games?

It’s not surprising he’s the best right back in the country.
We’ll let him and Buendia go just to subsidise Delia’s ownership.

They most certainly do!

Not so much the socks that caught my eye as the slim fit denims, Kev. On trend!

He’s loved by the Leeds fans - and probably has the safest job in the league - he’s worked miracles with a bang average championship squad, and shown the power of a system and what ego-less and hard working footballers can achieve under great coaching.

The results are better than we could have hoped, and the entertainment has been almost universally lauded. They are safe in the division - and it’s still only February.

They will always play the same way under Bielsa, as his view is that the best form of defence is attack. And when it works it works to wonderful effect. In the summer they will recruit better quality, they will get more consistent.

They’ll never be a team that will go a full season without the odd tonking - when they are “off it” they are very open, like the first half of the Arsenal game - but they’ll get fewer, and they’ll dish out plenty of tonkings too.

In the words of (Leeds Fan) Russell Crowe in Gladiator… “Are you not ENTERTAINED?”

Quite a depressing time for Accrington Stanley, erm I mean my Spurs. Pretty woeful stuff from the boys. How on earth can Wet Spam beat us and go 6 points ahead - come on boys, just hang your heads in shame. It just can’t get any worse.

I have decided to do an ultra lockdown, even disconnecting my telephone, keeping the curtains drawn and refusing to answer the door for a while. Just in case any smug Eastenders decide to contact me.

As for all the abuse usually hurled at Spurs, it is simply jealousy. Fans of other clubs subconsciously want to be part of the pure, lilywhite journey. No matter how bumpy the road is…

:sunglasses:

I admire your refusal to allow fellow Londoners to bring your down, especially those emanating from the Bow Bells area. Chin up old man, your be getting Nagelsmann soon.

Nine points, @Wugged_Woy, NINE points. As in 9. One less than 10, three threes, 3 x 3, three squared. As in the difference between 45 and 36, or 4th and 9th. Etc.

Fans of other clubs subconsciously want to be part of the pure, lilywhite journey.

Yep, I remember getting the train from Liverpool St up to WHL, my mates and I surrounded by mouthy, muggy Spuds fans, singing their godawful “songs” and really wishing we could be that deluded with that amount of entitlement.

The Toffees new £500 million stadium just approved.

It’s good to see an unused area of the cities docks being utilised in this way. It’s a little strange with a mix of Victorian industrial dock warehouse architecture at the two ends to ‘ground it in the dock culture’ then they placed a modernist hat on top.

It’s probably not going to end up exactly like this and I don’t think this will come in under £500 million. What project of this scale would come in on budget these days?

Positive days ahead from the blue half of Liverpool.

This part really did make me belly laugh I can honestly say hand on heart that no part of me subconscious or otherwise wishes to support The Spuds.

I’m not just saying this but I’ve always had a soft spot for West Ham my Aunt and Uncle used to run pubs and one of their ‘training’ pubs was The C**k in East Ham and I stayed there a few times and got taken to Upton Park this would have been the late 70’s. Di Canio, Hartson, Brooking, Dicks The Hammers have had some great players over the years.

I used to really enjoy watching Luca Vialli and Run Gullit’s Chelsea teams play great footballing sides but at no point even during that short period of mediocre success during the 80’s did I ever enjoy watching Spurs.

Athletico v Chelsea - should be a very interesting game tonight. Tuchel certainly knows how to confuse everybody with his team rotations.
