Wow - lavender is a very good cable.
Lavender is a bit brighter in tendency
Lavender is a bit more more together
Lavender is fuller in bass
With SL it is as if you have tightened a screw
SL is faster
SL is more defined- micro details - more mids
SL is more forward without being overall edgy
SL is good!

When you pull SL imterconnect out of NDS it grips. With 52 it doesn’t grip in same way.
Mayne better cables work with OC better than Olive.
But I too had heard of pulling it out a 1mm. I believe it’s to do with decoupling. Same with powerline about pushing it right in.
All this fiddly stuff is ridiculous in some ways.
But for fiddlers hours of contentment and testing.
Since I got 500DR I have been fiddliing more!

One major plus for SL (despite his looks) is that it is really easy to dress
I know. I am as bad as anyone else with fiddling! I was taking the glass Fraim protectors off the other day with dental floss!

I had the electrician come twice - first for c-fuse. Second to install a cable directly from main switch to the fuse.

When the big bunch is to be installed (500dr, second 555ps, powerigel plus, SL xlr) I have plenty of possibilities to fine tune.
SL cable has 4 weeks return window… 
Never have done that and never will do
