Music On Special Offer

20% off store wide from HD Tracks in light of closing down at the end of the month.

Unfortunately unlike any good business they never seem to look at competitors prices as with 20% off they are still 50% more expensive than other retailers.

Those of you of a certain vintage might remember Little Bob Story. A French rock & roll band that infiltrated the UK pub rock scene in the late 70’s. They sang in English and rocked out like Dr Feelgood and were fantastic. This 4cd set of their RCA albums currently £7.99 on Amzn.
So does this French band invoke Gauloises and garlic? No way - summons up the sweaty, smelly and dusty pubs of sarf Lardan in 1978. Bliss.

I think they are still going - Pretty sure they were playing last year in Honfleur.

I think they’re called the Blues Bastards now or something like that. Saw them in Deptford with Ducks Deluxe (I think) in 1978 or so. Great fun.

But the owner of Amazon does own and support the Washington Post, which is an excellent source of reliable news and information.

Maybe, though paying proper taxes in the country where sales are generated would pay for an awful lot of public services, which arguably are more important.

Yes, I’m not trying to minimize the consequences actions of Amazon’s tax dodging.

I live in a part of the UK where the local economy has been very badly effected by tax dodging corporations.

A fabulous boxset!

Presently on Amazon for £81.29 :+1:

Trying to cue up the 7” single by hand with an Aro presents a challenge - especially with a Kandid. Have you ever played it?

I’ve not played the 7" single because it’s not had the essential clean up job yet, and i’m too lazy to bother set the Keith Monks Omni with the smaller size brush.
But i do have brushes for 7" and 10" so it’s just a matter of getting around to it one day.

A decade ago i was given a stack of 7" singles which are looking more interesting as the years go by, although i expect most if not all of these are well previously worn and only fit to play on my Planar 3 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Incidentally i bought my Coltrane mono box set four years ago for £101
It’s an excellent set, the first album ‘Giant Steps’ being a slight let down in SQ but the following five are top drawer :+1:

Nice one. Thanks.
Just downloaded it along with Lucinda Williams “This Sweet Old World” for £7.49.

Thanks for flagging this. I’ve just downloaded it and am busy separating the albums and restoring the original sleeves. It looks great.

Yes it is a bit of a nuisance how the metadata and artwork are a bit messed up but at £3.49 for 4 hi res albums I’m not complaining!

Hi, which site can I find this on, please?
Thanks,
M
