They are rather special I think.
How is it doing with the Titans?

Also curious as to how they are working with your 606 Titans?
VERY musical - the ease and control is amazing for an amp this size.
Compared to my 72/HC/140, the Nait 2 doesn’t get as loud, sound stage is slightly narrower and probably has less layering in the bass.
But the little Nait gives nothing always in terms of musicality, I really like the warmer and rich tonal balance.
No plans to swap back to the 72/Hc/140 for now
If your room is not huge, and with the right speakers, it is all you could possibly need.
Beauty in simplicity.
Are you paying attention Naim? (Naim Design Sketches). Missing a huge market (but what do I know? ).
It’s an extremely tough act to beat! Excluding the original Nait, only the 12/BD160 really comes musically close for me, and it brings different strengths/weaknesses. Not heard 52 though.
So I opened up the CB Nait 2, looks like it has never been serviced since new (caps are dated 1987).
They sound great, should I get them serviced and have a recap or just enjoy for now?
Definitely get in re-capped. If not for the sound, then to prevent the Electrolytics oozing goo everywhere…
Probably unfounded, but I worry about leaving the house with old unserviced kit switched on. Worried it will burn the house down!!
Fully understand
Had a fire way back, luckily we were home when shortening happened.
Since then I don’t buy into Naim amps being on 24/7.
NO items are turned on when night or when out in my house (apart from TV stand by).
Yes. Booking them in now for a service.
Well, I’m totally blown away by my Naim serviced 12/BD160. It’s now clearly better than the 32.5/CB160. The slightly out of time bass is gone but there’s still some warmth to the midrange. As always, the 12 is so utterly coherent. And to think the power amp is now 50 years old and the pre-amp not far off!!
They’ve only been running 24 hours and not had much chance to listen but I’m really chuffed.
Excellent!
Must get around to posting my thoughts since the 42.5 ; 102; CBHicap; and 2 x 110s were all serviced a few weeks ago. The difference has amazed me and the item that surprised me most was … (to be continued… )
The last item that was serviced.
Tease…
I thought I would add an old picture of my CB Nait2 when it was used in my kitchen/dining room.

The bottom box is…? A NAPS or SNAPS maybe…?
And the top is… 12 or 22…?
It’s a Nac 22 and Nap 120 and UnitiQute 2!
