I’ve seen that stack too at Harry’s it’s very tempting. There’s lots of goodies.

He has a 32.5/hicap/250 CB ( maybe gone now) which I bought from him and then handed back after a couple of years, not for any reason other than I ran out of space :flushed: It was very good considering it’s age. A bargain I reckon but all the CB stuff is getting pretty old now as Richard says

Thing is I already have 3 systems and stream. If I had a TT I’d consider a vintage system

Enough is enough young fella

Yes old man :rofl::rofl:

You got it in one :rage:

Besides I’m saving for a 272 replacement (:crossed_fingers:) and those new Neat speakers.

Good move Pete

Nostalgia … I visited my brother and his family yesterday; perhaps the first time in ten years, and I was so pleased to see my Nait 1 in action. I’m not sure how he does it but he has managed to feed a streaming signal from Apple (I’m not sure if he uses music or iTunes). His main system uses a technics box as a feed into an olive system (not sure what as I could not get a close look).

Now his elder daughter has inherited my Mordaunt Short Pagents and is using a rewired Lenco TT with a Nait 3. I’m not sure what the middle child is using yet, but I await an update. But I’m so chuffed that the Naim bug has been carried into the next generation.

Agreed. I am about to give my son a newly serviced Nait 1 from 1989 that belonged to my Dad. Adding a Node 2i and some Rega speakers. Great mix of new and old. Hope it sounds ok!!

Nait 2, squeezebox and Rega speakers in one of the bedrooms here. Great little system. The 2i will be a significant improvement. :+1:

Still so good

Yes the Node 2i is a serious bit of kit in my estimation - I purchased one when my Squeezebox died. Great connectivity, App and sound quality. It was an ‘interim’ solution as I really felt I ought be buying something a lot more serious - however I still have concerns over the march of technology rendering products obsolete in only a few years (unlike the Nait 1 which I cannot wait to hear). What speaker cables do you use?

Quick question chaps - toying with adding a Naim CD player to my CB 32.5/hicap/250 but which unit would suit best?

I would say CDX2, but what’s your budget?

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated, £1000-£1200?

Cd5xs then?

CDX2 should be doable with that budget. CD5 XS or CD5x would be great too, especially if you add a hicap.

What are the speakers?

Such a sweet looking little box. Very nice indeed.
