A piece I’ve put together from a photo of my son while enjoying dessert around this time last year, when we were allowed to travel to foreign parts…
(…it’s not that wonky, just angle of picture to box frame )

That’s clever art work Jamie.
Each image even looks like a poloroid snap with uneven border
Hah, that will be because they are. Or at least the Fuji version…
Love that. So much. You have a great eye.
(and great job with the photo of the work, so difficult to capture it proper recorded, lit and squared up without a whole load of photography equipment)
Cheers, that’s very kind. Photo of it was just with an iphone tho’…
That’s a nice piece of work, is it acrylic on paper?
Paper I think Pete.
Hung a new commissioned painting yesterday by a local artist in our new orangery, 500x500mm on canvas.
That looks amazing. Any chance of a close up shot and an edge. Unframed paintings always gets me interested in looking at the sides where the image stops - if you get me, and the sides start.
Oil ?
A big fan of this type of painting. Usually by pouring it on flat and using some sort of sryinge or a squeezy ketchup bottle of paint. Some could dismiss it as fakery, but it takes some considerable skill and practice to not end up with a brown mess.
Thanks for the interest, it’s an acrylic pour. See extra images around edges. Colours were chosen to tie in with rug and the Mu-So burnt orange grille.
Very nice. Who’s the Artist ?
I’ve bought this after reading about it in The Guardian. It’s by Jeremy Deller with all proceeds to Refugee Action and the Trussell Trust. The idea is to stick it in the window but I wonder if it might be misinterpreted by some of my less liberal neighbours. I rather like it. Maybe I’ll just frame it and hang it on the wall somewhere. Not sure.
Are they cloisonné?
All the more reason to display in your window! I thought Deller said it that was what it was intended for, not wall hanging?
Jim
No, they’re Satuma. Meiji period, I think.
