Naim Unity Atom upgrade

I have had some good experiences with some upgrades:

  • Solid Steel SS6 Speaker Stands, complemented with Isoacoustics Gaia 3.
  • Selfmade device base following the approach of @Xanthe here in the forum (toughened glass with silicon nitride ball bearings)
-Vovox Excelus Powercord (the original Schuko cable is very poor - no powerline light). The original Powerline is expansive compared to the Atom.
Nova may be better but also costs almost 3,000 euros more than the Atom. I have also made the experience that some minor tuning measures can bring a big improvement. Enjoy

The setup looks fantastic @Wilfried ! Thanks for sharing :+1: Was also thinking about getting Gaia’s 3 for my KEF S2 stands. How do you find a difference with and w/o them?

Thanks very much. Isoacoustics Gaia have a very good reputation here in the forum and many have had good experiences with them, mostly under floorstanding speakers. I initially had doubts whether they also bring a step foreward under speaker stands. But there was indeed an improvement in spaciousness and especially a tighter bass. It is worth a try. https://community.naimaudio.com/t/what-was-the-last-bit-of-gear-you-bought-in-2022/20941/541?u=wilfried
However, the greater progress in my system has brought the device base. Other users have reported similar things.

Interesting to hear that, I am trading in my Star(due to ripping issues) for a Nova. Also running with LS50 Metas and Rel sub TX7.

What did you have before? I am upgrading to Nova from Star with good expectations

I had the Atom. The Nova was significant. Part of me thinks I should of been content.
