FWIW @drago I take the tv feed straight from the Virgin Superhub. Only one feed goes from that hub to the 2960 and only one feed from 2960 to EE8 (with linear ps). The nas goes into EE8 and EE8 then direct to ND555.

You really should try a linear ps for the EE8. But a high quality one. Some have reported very good results with the EE8 . For instance GraemeH has the Silent Angel on his EE8 and @Blackbird a Farad Super 3.
I really much appreciate all your help guys. Big family
Still struggling with a good place for the Cisco
Server (in my setup hdx) and nd555 are connected to ee8.
Bold question - if streamed via nd555, will the signal go from hdx to switch and after that direct to nd555 or will it go to router and back (the long way?)
If Apple TV and tv are both not switched on, is it still bad if they are plugged into the switch. Noise from standby mode?
By the way … nd555 … wonderful
Then that’s what I would do and not worry about it.
Good luck!
Forester F1. It’s designed around the Silent Angel switch that is the base unit of the EE8.

Our TV, Oppo blu ray player and Virgin Tivo box are connected to the Cisco switch 24/7. Life’s too short to be faffing about with RJ45 connectors for each & every TV or music session.
Best regards, BF
I would not unplug a bit … :o)
Was referring to the ee8 with the tv and … plugged in
Than this will be next purchase
Farrad super 3 looks better - but when silent angel is designed for the switch!
To be clear, I can’t comment on alternatives. I chose the F1 and discovered the distributor lives 20mins from my house. He hand delivered it the same evening!. I’ve been very happy with it.

Thanks a lot! One happy customer from naim forum counts a lot.
@Blackbird : are you also happy with Farrad linear ps?
Super happy! Farad offer a buy and try period too I chose the upgrade copper cable and orange fuse. Standard IEC outlet and a Powerline on it.
Bold question - if streamed via nd555, will the signal go from hdx to switch and after that direct to nd555 or will it go to router and back (the long way?)
So I have some upgrades to do … very good. I do Not want to get out of job
Powerline and hi-line are also to be tested
If there is really a narrow Fraim leg to be build - so hi-line can be mounted at my 52
I’ve heard early Armageddon’s also had the illuminated light as well. It was removed because it sounded better without it.
Same.
Is it the 5V version you need for the EE8? I looked at their web site and found the range of options to select a bit confusing: fuses, connection cables (no idea which one you need for an EE8, and then there are 3 grades ), something called an “inlet upgrade” . I guess I’d use my own NZ power lead. Seems a bit of a vortex.
For EE8 it’s 5V with 2.1mm DC connector
You have just to choose 230 or 115 v, depending on country. Then 5v. Then 2.1 dc connector.
As for upgrades, a better fuse and better dc cable matters too, but it’s not obligatory.
