And here I am in Hong Kong trying to sell those two used cables for the eq. of £500 as I upgraded to a full 300 series system. And even at that price there is no interest because the Naim SH market here is tiny. Sighs…

Removing expensive switch and ethernet cables have moved NSS333 more towards NDS meat and earthiness for sure. NSS333 responds very much to tweaking on the digital side. You can easily take it from relaxed warm and organic to super detailed and front row just changing switch and ethernet cables.

That wasn’t my experience. No magic switch could save 333 from sounding flat.

Crikey, mine doesn’t sound ‘flat’. Far from it I’m extremely impressed (week 2 with 333) mine is just with internal PS as well.

Coming from a ND555 x2 555PSDR / 552DR my 333:300 / 332:300 sounds more enveloping and, err…’round’.

Each to their own I guess.

I was really just playing with words. More 3D - depth/width and ‘hear through’ into the studio or venue. More ‘natural’…’organic’ if you will. In my room with my ancillary equipment, including my ears.

It’s hopeless debating this as it’s unlikely to arrive at a shared conclusion, there are simply too many variables.

Yeah I was wondering what does it mean and you provided a lot of hifi terms that go into that round term. Maybe a bit too many?
Anyways you then say that full 500 series sounds worse in all those categories? Very interesting.
Another story of 500 series not managing to beat a cheaper Naim model in the lineup.
Am I imagining that 500 series is really good or are people here so easy to trash on it?
Might be both me thinks.

I am really tempted to try 300nc (6box system), but when you changed you also went to different speakers (active) - is it really so much comparable?
But that 333 sounds flat - this is very highly unlikely
