To be fair, my Mum could call me up with that advise!
Just wish Naim would be more explicit. I reckon they’d save themselves a shed load of phone calls/confused customers.
[Poor attempt at humor edited out]…
Honestly restarts and power downs have solved a ton of issues over the last year. Screen freezes and such. So why not this? LOL.
No install issues, up and running in no time, all seems fine functionally.
SQ i like
I think it did for me as i hard the subtle speaker plop
Well, I’m starting to feel like the “black sheep”, or the “ugly duckling”, and not just due to the ‘The Turning Point’ thread…
Apparently everything in the system is correctty configurated, but after a few seconds when I close the cover of the Android tablet, bye, bye…, all Tidal presets disappear from the preset list without leaving a trace, neither in the App presets home screen nor in the NDX2 favorites home screen.
No one else who can bring some light and change the color of my fur…?
Ok got forum fever and performed a power cycle, more dynamic albeit for some i would say HF shrill.
Took a while
Update went ok, apps not responding very well to the update and hanging for ages for discovery to connect. When will Naim get this thing right ? It’s worse than before.
Everything was ok until a few minutes ago. I was listening to Qobuz but it suddendly stopped working.
Am I alone?
Qobuz dropped out. Could not even connect with Roon or the Qobuz app. Not the app updates fault.
Qobuz is back again.
First it stopped , then my heart sank, then it was back up…phew.
Qobuz dropped out across everything couldn’t use their own app either . It’s definitely not that reliable a platform.
Well… I have been using Qobuz since around 2010 and, even though the interface was rough at the beginning, I just can remember about two dropouts. It may be that I am not that a regular listener. But still…
Anyone notice any audible differences? My NDX2 seems a bit more detailed and maybe a little too ‘digital’ for my liking
I had similar problems with Roon after the update. Recognized Tidal but would not play Qobuz. After turning off Naim app and rebooting Roon App it finally recognized Qobuz again. Took about 20 minutes to right itself.
In addition to loss of Qobuz on Roon I also couldn’t access on Naim App or Qobuz App. Once Roon started working Qobuz became available on Naim and the Qobuz App.
Wasn’t THAT fun (rhetorical).
Couldn’t find the room. Unplug this, switch on and off that… Found the room. Hung. Couldn’t find the room. Delete and replace the app.
Works! Hallelujah.
So, what’s different? A bit quicker. Good. Sounds a bit more detailed. Good.
“Presets”. Don’t need them. Just clutters things up.
Still have to go to favourites and access my Qobuz lists from there instead of just clicking on the Qobuz app because that doesn’t and will not display anything in order…
Oh well. Baby steps, eh?
Do you mean the “first connect after update” or a general re-connection delay after the update?
(After/during updates, I always swipe-close the app on iOS to reconnect after update. Otherwise it runs fine for me currently; and many people replied it works “snappier” for them with 3.5 installed.)
Without reading the whole thread, what is presets? All it shows are radio stations and you can’t add anything else to it. Seems a bit pants.
