Seeing as it had gone a bit quiet on the firmware update front I thought I would give it a go
I have a Nova and held off going to 3.5 after I started reading about some people experiencing problems, and there was nothing that was impacting my enjoyment using 3.4 …
So today I bit the bullet and did the update to 3.5.1
It went smoothly, no issues and was relatively fast … probably no more than 5 mins total
Just as a precaution I switched everything off at the wall and disappeared for lunch. Came back and powered up … and so far no issues.
Been running all afternoon and no problems and all seems fine
After updating my Uniti Star to 3.5.1 I have noticed that sometimes while it is in standby I will hear two relay clicks, a bit like when you turn it on, but I have not touched anything and the unit still sits in standby. Very odd!
FWIW, updated Atom to 3.5.1 a few days ago. Update went smoothly and have had no spontaneous reboots since, at least whilst listening, unlike under 3.5.0. Not noticed any clicking whilst in standby, either but Atom is in my home office and it’s usually on whilst I’m in there.
As posted a few days ago, I heard that Naim were aiming to get out fw3.5.1 for the network players at some point early this week, so hopefully there shouldn’t be much longer to wait…
