The app and Atom are pretty much unusable for me since this update. It’s taking over a minute to connect. Then it’s laggy buggy mess. As soon as its gone to the background the app dies.
Also the Atom is now randomly rebooting on its own accord. Happened just now. That twice in less than 24 hours. Music playback stopped then it powered itself down.
No. But then I don’t use Chromecast and I use Roon for control. No reboots needed or happening of their own accord. The actual update went smoothly and I’m happy with the sound.
Just a mention from me all seems to be fine this end with the new update. In the past I had problems this was due to network issues, it took a while to sort these issues but eventually got it done. Since then I have moved house and now I have a very good internet connection. I have had no issues at all with WiFi or wired. Just a thought check if you have a good internet this may be the problem. It seems that if you have always had problems that may be the place to start.
I hope those that are having problems get it sorted soon. I know when I was having issues It was driving me bloody mad all I wanted to do was listen to some music. I was ready to throw the thing out the window.
@Mike_S, it is assumed that this firmware update’s main novelty is you can add any playlist, album or theme of “my favorites” in Tidal and Qobuz to the list of “presets”, so that with any of the devices with screen, such as our NDX2, you could access your favorite music from Tidal or Qobuz, not only radio stations, with the remote in the “favorites” screen of the device screen (without the need of the App, nor, therefore, of a smartphone or tablet), which, from my point of view, would be fantastic to listen to the music as always, with the remote, being able to skip the themes you want and without the tedious distractions of the blissful Apps. But, as I say, in my unit, at least for now, nothing at all, it doesn’t work even in jest…
