I’d say add a USB port that can be used as an input.
Only 120 allocated to the UK
Both would be good. But for digital out, I would say BNC, USB & Optical possibly. Certainly BNC & USB.
USB as it allows very large data output if you are using the streamer as a HQPlayer end point…
Which, I forgot to add that as a “Would like to have”. HQPlayer NAA endpoint as well as Roon.
Interestingly the new Aro is apparently different geometry to the old one - it’s longer - so won’t work with Linn, for example.
So there will be no chance to try this Linn/Naim combination until (if/when) Naim release a Linn Friendly version.
Well, I already have a $20K Clearaudio turntable and Naim phonostage rig, so I’m good.
Roy once told me that the DAC casing in the ND555 has different tensions for screws - such attention to detail and sonic excellence. True engineering and gives us the Naim sound we love
regards Devraj – Active SL2 and loving every moment, Naimed Phonosophie owner and wondering how we get a solstice into our lives
The PS and phono stage look like a Linn Klout, with more length.
I wonder how intentional that was?
Looks really, really nice, what a set up! I could never have guessed this one!
To R:
Good catch! I would love to hear if there is an inside story to this. @Naim.Marketing any info available as to the genesis of the name?
Your discerning tastes when it comes to vinyl and happiness with your Clearaudio gives me great hope I’ll enjoy the Solstice!
You getting one Bart?
but why should Naim release a Linn friendly version now?
Do linn provide DIN outputs on their streamers?
Yes I’m going to sell off the P10/SC DR/ SuperLine!
A housewarming gift to yourself. Perfect!
Nice! I think I got the same phone call …
ATB,
Mark
We both are serviced by the same fabulously responsive and helpful authorized dealer
At this pace the timing will coincide…the house is taking forever to finish the last 5%!
Well said…
I’m wondering if the Solstice series is the new range of components, in the way of Classic Series. Would be far more consumer friendly given overall direction they are taking.
