New Naim Internet Radio - Feedback & Requests - Part 4

Thx Steve, JB Radio 2 works fine now also with the aac stream, so I can listen to it directly at the Superuniti.

Many thanks @Stevesky You have made my 91 year old mother very happy. :ok_hand:

Thanks Steve

Hi @moon63

You’re in luck, we’re one up.

Audio Emotion’s in the UK got back to me and confirmed it was their stream and its OK to add it.

Now added. It’s not exactly HD as only MP3 128kbit

This weekend I saw that the long awaited firmware update for my Muso 1 was available at last so I was glad to update.
Unfortunately after 3 days I can confirm that my problem is not solved :frowning:
Radio stations still stop playing at random it seems and I have to re-initialize them. Most of the time it seems to happen when the regular music stream is interrupted by a (commercial) message.
This happens for example with ā€˜VRT 1 Classics’ station in Belgium.

I’m having the same issue with QB1 so it’s good to know its not just me.
I’ll try experimenting over the next week to see if there is any sort of ā€˜recipe’ for the issue

Hi, is there any news about the firmware update for legacy products, in particular my ol’ reliable Unitiqute? Thanks!

All ready to go. See here:

Hahaha, yeah, they might want to revisit that name!
Nice job, Steve, I appreciate your efforts and the points you made previously about the legitimacy of some stations.
Many thanks.

Good idea, i am a happy superuniti owner, after the upgrade to 4.9 the radio sound has improved a lot. I appreciate the effort and great job of naim team. thanks !!!

Update: the usb/RS232 arrived with links to the appropriate drivers for my UQ version 1.
Bad news: downloading the driver was straightforward, but installing it was problematic because my MacMini would not let me execute it, nor could I activate it from the security utility.
Good news: the MacMini already had a suitable driver. Installation slow but successful.

Hi,

I just updated to 4.9 on my NDS, all seemed to go well other than having to restart my phone before it could see iRadio stations or my UPNP server.

I’m now in the process of readding my presets but cannot find NPR. I’m assuming it should be under International/North America/United States/Public Broadcasters but I cannot see it in there. Can this please be added or am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks.

Hi @loks

NPR is the national broadcasting network for USA and is made up of 100’s of stations around the country.

If you browse to International->North Amercia->United States, you’ll find NPR as the brand in that view. Inside there are all the networks that make up NPR.

NPR does have a dedicated news channel as well:

Btw is there a url to browse and search the Naim radio catalogue similar to this Vtuner page ?

https://vtuner.com/setupapp/guide/asp/BrowseStations/startpage.asp

Why would you need that when you can browse them in the Naim app?

The browsing doesn’t work for the Superuniti.

A post was split to a new topic: Multiroom Issue after update

Hi @Andylu

Another attempt on that Radio Rai 1. The streamer is struggling on the redirect done by the broadcaster
.
Have adjusted the URL and should now play the SD variant of the stream.

Regards

Steve

The new Naim Radio is working well after the firmware update on my Mu-so and Mu-so QB,
however many of the stations I used on the V Tuner do not seem available on the Naim Radio.
Will the selection of stations be expanded? Looking for Radio Art Ballads and Calm Radio Jazz Piano as well as Radio Caprice, amongst others.
