Was down in Dorset myself last week. Weather was stunning. Unfortunately some chap had parked his vehicle such that it was obstructing my view of the delightful countryside. Thought about asking him to move it, though only briefly.

Surely that’s just a picture of an empty field? There’s possibly something camouflaged there but it’s such a good job I can’t quite make it out.

The haze and pollution from the Canadian forest fires reaching us make it impossible to take pictures beyond ten yards. Anyway, the green heron agreed to stay within range while waiting for the right fish to show up.

Strathdearn and the River Findhorn at Coignafearn, near Tomatin. Though a variable day weatherwise, there were good numbers of butterflies about, including the pictured Dark Green Fritillary.
