FINALLY a little dry weather in the Lakes, so managed to get out onto a local walk
Pics from High Rigg at St John’s in the Vale, looking towards Blencathra.
Glad we made the most of the weather as we are due a monsoon tomorrow!
Left my camera home yesterday.I know something interesting could turn up…taken with my humble cell phone.

The snow that gave us an official white Christmas. It was very wet at sea level, and froze overnight, to make the Boxing Day morning dog walk ‘interesting’. It looked magnificent on the mountains on an afternoon walk in the local woods though.
Cheers,
Ian
There’s a party!Everybody dance🥳
Lovely… Is Brian Eno in your avatar?
Do such places really exist…?
Happy!
Sure do… English Lake District in Cumbria UK ….motto… “Fabulous but wet…”. Well it should be !
I’m very lucky to live here…
Wise man.
Yes, it’s him. I chose this image because in front of him there is a Jbl 4311b exactly like the ones I still use today
Glad to see someone is on topic for a change.
After the slight overindulgence of the Festive Season, it was nice to be out in the hills again yesterday, in what is looking like a relatively short window of opportunity - more stormy stuff due tomorrow. The most prominent hill was Ben Rinnes, and these show it in a range of different moods as the light changed through the day.
Cheers,
Ian
