I m is good . Almost a perfect height for stand mount speakers
Taller stands improve soundstage height and will often yield tighter bass.
My ear height in my Relax chair is 90cm.
So a height of 1 metre would probably also be ok?
Stand on a stool?
When was that!
Last Friday 01,11.24!
Drat, must have missed those tour dates.
Almost went to the Savage tour locally when my daughter still enjoyed ‘dad music’ but she was too young
Not sure if you’ve realised - this wasn’t the real McCoy - it was a tribute band called Tubeway Days - must say the attention to detail in recreating the early stuff is amazing - the lead singer was on Stars In There Eyes many years back! Numan himself is doing bugger all at the moment music wise!
No I hadn’t, it was just coincidental that I’d not checked his tour dates or forthcoming releases lately!
Well all I can say is if you ever get chance go and see them - they put on a really good show that looks and sounds the part!
It was a terribly long day. Catching some classic Groove Armada in the office before I enter the main part of the house and have kids acreaming at me.
If I lean over, this is also still from the listening position
Very nice, but can I suggest putting that lamp a bit further into the corner, behind the table? I think that will look nicer, although perhaps if you use it as a reading light when in your chair it will be a bit less practical.
Lovely setup there, FZ. What are those speakers ?
Absolutely not. It would be far too close to both the picture and the wall light. A nice lamp needs space, not to be shoved in the corner.
In principle I agree, but it’s not really getting a lot of space between that table and the chair. Instead I feel it’s doing the reverse, it’s taking away space. It’s making the whole section look more cramped.
So I feel it would in general look more spacious if the space between the furniture was left open, but I appreciate we all have different tastes.
Let’s see a shot of your sitting room then. I could do with more design tips.
Look, I was just trying to helpful. Like me and a few others were earlier and you even thanked us for. I’m not sure why this particular advice suddenly warrants such a response, even if you don’t agree with it. As I said we all have different tastes, so just ignore any particular advice if you don’t like it.
If you want/care, you can see a shot of my living room in the system pictures thread, and in my speaker build thread as well.
I was really grateful for the earlier advice, but having sorted it out I don’t feel the need for more. Once the pictures are sorted out it will be fine.
Agreed, did appear to be an aggressive response.
DG…
Passive aggressive.
