Esp the Olive boxes had a ring to them when playing loud, the new boxes not so much , but there is a ring. But I normaly use them on al apparatus,it gives a solid base on the spikes…

It was impressive, of course. But i‘ ve got the same impression at the Luxman booth. They also used a big Focal speaker in their demo. And i simply find the treble too intense. Not my cup of tea.

Luxman is also an official Focal parter so no getting away from them unfortunately.

Had mine for years. Always liked them. I have a Play 3 in the kitchen and a Beam in the Lounge.
They are useful and decent enough for what I need them to do.
And the software is oh so good!

Biggest bang for buck you can get with an all in one speaker. I have mine on in the garden sometimes for bbq’s etc and it never ceases to amaze me at how big it sounds
Absolutely, it’s surprising just how good a sound you can get from inexpensive kit. I’m on hols at present with an iPod( remember those) plugged into a “Jam” ( no I hadn’t heard of them either) powered speaker I swear “Kind Of Blue” has never sounded better, it’s something about the midrange that’s so right…or maybe it was the wine?

Not mine, a friends’. Very proud of how things turned out as I like to think I had a small contribution to its evolution.
I think a Mola Mola Tambaqui and a Cyrus Hark stand would fix a lot of cable management problems, just saying. 
Until then, it sounds out of this world good, as it is.

Are Luxman connected to the same owner group as Focal and Naim?
No. But Luxman are the exclusive distributor for Focal in Japan and stopped making speakers to focus on using Focal as their official speaker partner. They handle all repairs and servicing for Focal.
They even have “Focal powered by Luxman” corners in dealers!
