I switched all my streams to Metadata ones in Roon and they all seem to be working fine. So they must have sorted out the server issues they where having which is good. I had not tried it for a while due to the issues it was having.
That’s interesting, I tried the metadata ones with minimserver on a Melco and they didn’t work for me. I can only get the icy-8 streams to work. Not that it matters too much because, as has already been discussed above, whilst the streams should work, the metadata doesn’t with minimserver on a Melco (at least with the earlier software - pre 3.92/EX). As long as something works, I’m happy!
I’ve checked here, looks broken.
According to the RP site the streams are now using https rather than http. So, the main mix stream is now:
https://stream.radioparadise.com/flac
(There’s no point using the flacm metadata stream with MinimStreamer as it will strip out any metadata).
After rescanning and trying to start the stream it fails. Checking the MinimServer log reveals why:

So there’s apparently an SSL certificate handshake problem between MinimStreamer and radioparadise.com.
I tried using http rather than https, and this leads to a second problem, where transcoding with ffmpeg fails and MinimStreamer simply reports this in the log:
Converter program ended unexpectedly with exit value 1
I’ve tried a few versions of ffmpeg (the default shipped with DSM, the Optware version, the Community version, and a version recommended by the MinimServer author) but they all fail with the same error.
No further time to investigate today, but looks like this will need Simon’s assistance.

I’ll need to figure out what the issue is with the stream links as icy-8 will be phased out eventually. Just curious do any of the non flac links work?
Such as stream . radioparadise . com/aac-128
To access anything other than the FLAC streams you can use regular iRadio stations. The RP AAC 320k link in Naim’s Choice works fine.
Anyone know if there’s a URL for the RP logo?

Just to clarify who is who, @jarro is the tech for Radio Paradise. I pointed him towards this forum thread as it indicated that there was an issue on one of their server instances.

Thanks @Stevesky, that worked, do you know if there are logo urls for the mellow and world mixes? I tried a few permutations of above but couldent get them to work . Have to say the FLAC streams do sound good.

@jarro, any idea what the problem is with ssl certs on radioparadise.com? I see on your forum other people are having issues with MinimServer on QNAP. Minim is a Java 8 app.
