Thanks for the extra pic George. I’ve got a pair of the PX wireless too. Great for watching content from the iPad.

Managed to find a nice one second hand, and it’s on it’s way tomorrow. But need my other cables as well to turn up before I can try it, but it should all be here next week some time, and will report back

That’s a great find!!

Hi James, I used Harley St Hearing each time having gone from 530 to 535 to 846 and with custom sleeves each time. Yes they aren’t permanent and can be removed as necessary.

Their actual mould suppliers have changed. Wasn’t pleased with the original 846 ones - poor seal and bass - these are a new set (and diff supplier) and I asked to speak directly to the maker so he understood what I wanted.

They also did the B&O ones, again listening to how I wanted them. The coloured silicone is slightly softer btw and I was advised against those for the 846’s.

Hi Rack,

It’s a Dragonfly black (the cheapest model) which I bought for an older iPhone as the onboard headphone output produced noticeable distortion driving anything other than in-ear ‘phones. The improvement was quite profound! Now I have a newer iPhone sans headphone jack which makes the DAC the default option. I did also have to shell out for the apple USB adapter and despite reading of problems with this adapter and recommendations of the bigger “USB3” version, I’ve not had a single issue.

I have these, hardly used these days. I do however frequently use my Sennheiser Momentum TWs with my iPhone when I’m out and about.

Home set up. Sen HD800S with toxic cables copper venom balanced cables powered by a Cavalli Audio Liquid Gold amp. Currently using the RCA out of the streamer. Works pretty well but I probably should have gone for a closed back design.

With one you going for?

Thanks Richard. Will look into the DragonFly range at some point.

Cheers, Rack.

what do you mean?

I couldn’t find a stand i liked, so i made my own. Solid Bubinga and Ash with a cable hook at the rear, though my long cable is too long!

Please tell us more when you have the cable!!

Nice! I’ve been thinking about the Meze. Although I’m on the fence on whether I want noise cancelling or “just” closed back ones.

Currently own BeyerDynamic DT531, Alessandro Music One & Koss Porta Pro. All excellent in their own right, but also open so not suitable for all situations.

Also using a self-built AMB mini3 amp and AMB gamma2 DAC, mainly with the 531’s.

Focal Utopia’s + Felix Audio Echo amp via 555/552. Very pleased so far, everything you’d want in a headphone.
