Not quite sure how to respond to that ( )
But as always when you go looking for the post where you read it. you can’t find it.

I have walnut and you just said walnut sounds the best…
Probably the best turntable in the world!
Although I’m a self confessed “fluter”, I have to admit, that a pretty good looking rig
Agreed, I have had afromosia, black ash, Linn fluted walnut, and ended up with a non fluted walnut with a beautiful grain, and I think it is my last plinth I will own. Much prefer the walnut sound, and the older, out of production rosewood plinths are on par or a close second IMO.
Scott
That is a wonderful grain. How old is that plinth? You almost never see grain like that. It took me some time to find my walnut plinth with a great matching grain and color.
Scott
Hi Scott, it’s about 7-8 years old iirc. Stock Linn arm that I part ex’d a black one for.
Yes, but only if fluted
But not pickled?
Mine is fluted walnut
After several “solid” plinths, here’s another shout for “fluted”.
This is my much loved Linn LP12 with fluted afromosia plinth.
Still very much original, from 1986, after all this time.
However, it is currently a “work in progress”, as can be seen.
Watch this space.
Happy wedding anniversary.
Hah hah, thanks 37 years early Oct
And in very nice condition, could be new!
If you still look like new, then your wife has to be particularly easy to care for and to handle or she is an angel. Does she have any sisters who are not given? I would swap then immediately …
PS.:
The wife declares that she has lumbago, the man replies: Can’t be, witches don’t shoot witches.
Thanks @ravenswood101, I am sure you will be pleased with the Karousel, I cannot see the current spec. listed on your profile.
Re the SO tables, as I mentioned on the system pics thread they are something of an anachronism, but they suit me!
