Show us your Sondek

We could have passed each other on the stairs, Kev!

(I was the longhaired guy in a green velvet jacket - and lots of rings. Still got the rings, lol)

Any footage?

Truly worrying.

Call me Starkey…

I don’t know a lot about how to organise/build up a Linn Sondek - but love this thread and so tempting to replace my very basic turntable with something more special - just need to work out where to start - great thread keep the pictures coming

The place to start is find a good dealer. Most will have traded in parts and can build a starter LP12 for around £1500 but be prepared to spend on upgrades later. It’s a slippery slope

My last trip to my dealer cost me twice what I told my wife what I was spending

It is possible to get a Sondek built for you using “pre-loved” parts by a specialist dealer , Cymbiosis get a lot of love on these pages , but people like Colin Macy at “What You See And Hear” are also highly competent and will do the same

It could work out a lot less than a brand new LP12 .

For Ese’s next gig, remind me to bring you your own Animal!

Hi Kevster

I’ve still got mine from the late 80s. No cleaning solution anymore. Do you still use any solution? If so, what ?

Cheers

Si

No Si, I use it dry – Linn warns against the use of any liquids anywhere near the Krystal.
