Debadged from the start. Placed directly against a concrete wall. Some day the source will be clad in furniture and the cable dressing flawless. Some day…

I very much agree — I also get irritated (if that is the right word here) by pointless and often somewhat vulgar visual branding, like the PMC logo on my speaker. I know that they are from PMC — I bought them… No need for an uninspiring logo on the rather nice oak veneer, spoils the looks…

I do though make an exception for the green Naim logo — that one I like.

I rather like the Atc logo on the cabinet. And the small writing on the tweeter ‘made in England by ATC’

I’ve been searching out my way for these gems but have not had any luck so far. I’d hoped to pair with the atom in my study, next choice for me is the Sonus Faber Lumina II, which will be arriving for a few weeks demo soon.

Re: ATC logo.

Shortly after their purchase Mrs Roog said that she liked the increase in bass from my new speakers, ATC SCM 40’s but, “why does it have arabic writing on the front!”

Confused, I asked what she was talking about and she pointed at the ATC logo. I have tried to understand her observation but I don’t really see this for myself. I guess once seen it can’t be unseen?

she’s stumped me as well?!

I’d never noticed before but, intrigued, I have just had a look at the logo on my SCM19s. If you concentrate on the silver and try to ignore the black “ATC” (probably best to do in dim light), I can see what Mrs Roog means.

Just checked, dang, I see what you are saying about the silver, definitely gives the impression of middle eastern like characters.

Some people see whats not supposed to be there and vice versa.
Bit like the two faces/vase illusion.

I know what you mean about the badges. One of mine was slightly off centre I had to take it off and re-centre it as it made me mad looking at it. I may well remove them as you have done.

Go for it.

Can they be reattached HH?
Thinking if you ever sell them on.

They remain sticky when removed. I’ve stuck them on a piece of cloth to stop them sticking together or picking up dirt and put them away safely, along with the metal links.

its a bit of a shame proac have stuck with the pegs for mounting the grills, magnets would have been so much cleaner, but if thye sound as good as reported i guess it doesn’t matter!

If you keep the grilles on, it really doesn’t matter. Pegs are so much more secure than magnets; when I tried some ATCs they seemed very weak.

At the risk of digging another hole for us to fall in, I always take the magnetic grilles from my PMC speakers when using them. I’m concerned that as the magnetic link seems quite weak, there may be some vibration at a resonant frequency. I’m sure there is no such thing, but It is a habit I can’t break.
