Will surely knows his own products better than I do. My three little boxes are sitting under the dps. The turntable psu on the left hand, next to the phono psu. The phono stage itself is on the right hand with some space between it and the power supplies.
My dealer told me about the new OM, but thanks for sharing your info. I have never heard the original version, though. The original Dudes with the Seas woofer are fine in this room, even a little better than the LS 3. The Dude 2 and my previous room never liked each other.
I have the Bauer tonearm and a frosted top on order, should be a nice Christmas present.

Thank you. Yes, it’s an AT 95ML cart. I’ve got a KAB TD1000 tonearm fluid damper on the way which will allow me to use other carts (540, 740, etc).
Apart from that have been running it with the accessories that came form factory which I am currently looking to upgrade (mat, interconnects, power cable, etc).
It’s an lp12, modified by Vinyl Passion. But ugly! Go to their site, you will see.
Look at the top plate and armboard they are TD150 type, not LP12. Also, the on/off switch. The table is a modified TD150 modified by Vinyl Passion that very ugly.
Thx, I thought it was an LP12 , this firm seem to specialise in adapting LP12s.
Either way it makes me glad for the clean lines of my Clearaudio

It’s an easy mistake to make. Put a TD150 in a Sondek plinth (It’s possible - just, with a little bit of work) and with an LP12 armboard, and it’s easy to mistake it at first or even second glance.
And on the subject of the Thorens TD-150, here’s one of mine, a bog standard Mk.II…

What do you think of the audio technica VM750SH? I have a Dynavector 10X5 and wondered how it compares
I can’t compare Dan, but I’m happy with the neutral / natural sound of the AT. I had no preconceived ideas about choice of cartridge and took the advice of Peter at Cymbiosis.
Comparing the few LPS I have against CD/ripped there is more space around, and better balance between, instruments, the voice more distinctive and natural.

I am - the LP12 is much better than I anticipated, great vfm; although I spent more than I had intended once I factored in LP12, arm, power supply and cartridge.
It’s so good that I’m considering buying more vinyl.

Whilst my 301 gets some overdue maintenance I’ve swapped the Collaro 4T200 mentioned upthread into the main system. I also swapped over the OL silver and AT33PTGii. Sounds really good, the 8lb platter gives a real metronome effect on drums like SP10 etc are supposed to. Amazing the potential performance locked away in these old classics!

What is your opinion of the Sara? What did it replace?
I ask as I have an Origin Live OL1 (modelled on the Rega RB250) on a Roksan Xerxes 10. Always fancied a Roksan arm but the Tabriz and Artemitz would have to be (well) used examples and I don’t like the look of the Nima or the Pug.
I have an Audionote iQ3 MM cartridge (sort of up market Goldring 1042). Never really known if a unipivot arm is suited to a MM.

I was using a Nima with sKale that I really liked, but the Sara is so much better a lot more detail better bass, and much more. I have used an MM with unipivot but I don’t think there would be any problem with the using a MM with a unipivot.

I’ve got another thread for p9 users and compatible cartridges. Could you offer any advice as I also have the nac52 with built in phono boards
Oooh, a Sony PSX-600! Such a neat and nicely finished turntable. A teacher at school had one along with a Nikko pre/power amp with these great big red LED power meters. It looked fab. And my first turntable was its bigger brother, the PSX-800 with the linear tracking tonearm and XL44L MC cartridge.
