What A Wonderful World, any version.

There’s few above I actually like but I really dislike anything by Queen with a passion (except Keep Yourself Alive) and the Smiths. Not a huge fan of heavy metal or goth although there’s the odd track that’s not that bad. I find as I age some stuff that I use to disliked I now find myself enjoying

But basically I hate everything I don’t like. :upside_down_face:

Totally agree about Oasis, Vasco Rossi and expecially Ligabue. Not about Queen

It’s a guilty secret for me, it’s saccharine emotional blackmail and I still love it.

I have to say all Christmas songs in a supermarket in the festive season make me hope the singers suffer inordinate pains , eternal suffering , their livers torn out on a daily basis and eternal damnation in the afterlife.
What must it be like working in Tesco in the six weeks before Christmas :santa_claus:?

Anything by Queen,Steely Dan,don’t know why,but just irritating.

All Artists and bands originally from England expect The almighty Freddie, Brian, Roger, John. Long live Queen :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth::face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth::joy::joy:

Auld Lang Syne - what a dreary & depressing load of tosh.

Gold, Spandau Ballet. Not because it is particularly bad, but fourteen years of introducing Friday golden assemblies has tarnished it somewhat,

Anything sung by Robert Zimmerman.

So that rules the Beatles out? Lol.

Most Christmas pop songs are on my cringe list… the top cringers are

Last Christmas - Wham

Do they know it’s Christmas - Band Aid.

Merry Christmas Everybody - Slade.

And most things Paul McCartney post Beatles.

Now we should have an English national anthem, like the provincial countries do… Jerusalem would top my list for the English anthem. A beautiful hymn..that is easy to sing along to

I don’t think Jerusalem is in England…

How about Ilkley Moor Bar T’at ?

It isn’t, but that is the point if you follow the lyrics / poem…. I think it’s a juxtaposition.

But yes if we move into folk sings there would be several on my list…

Anyway back to songs we dislike

Mine is singers and drumming, so Meatloaf, Dylan, Neil Young, Queen, then other bands like U2 and Oasis. We all have different tastes.

I bought U2’s War album many years ago on Play.com. Allmusic had some samples on the website I checked out and I liked what I heard. Once it arrives, it did not gel at all. I listened to the samples again and found they were instrumental. So my gripe is with Bono. His voice is just so…whiney.

Tina Turner is also one I can comfortably leave to the side. Her voice is just grating.

I forgot to say Cher’s Believe… it really is a shocker… has me heading to the exit if it’s played at a function… absolutely appallingly bland
