No exactly and I would fear the SN4 would be complete with streaming platform, well, which we’ve seen only needs a poor set of updates.
My SN3 will no doubt join my Densen Beat 100 and be an all time classic that hopefully I am still playing 30 years after I bought it.
The next purchase is likely now to be Michi and I’m fine with that.
I do feel sorry though for dealerships built on the previous ethos.

That’s a bit concerning, I wonder how long it will be before current SN3 owners can’t get their amps serviced or repaired due to a lack of spare components ending up with a useless expensive door stop.

Happened to me twice with Linn
One big system and one small never again.
I moved to Naim.

I have one, but it appeals to a certain clique , the Nait 50 needed a remote control and RCA inputs to sell more widely
It is the best Naim amp I have had

If it sold well, it was obviously to a certain market , as well as those going up the ladder or downsizing the box count.
My guess is there will be a replacement as Naim would not like to be out of that price point - there are some serious competitors like the Rega Aethos out there .
Sad to hear the news. Glad I’ve got one and it’s currently belting out some Stones.

I am subscribed to Focal / Naim newsletter, but did not get any email. Is that some special insider channel?
I think this is the key point, that Naim are not trying to be like Linn.
(Funnily enough that is why I have always given Linn electronics a wide berth - wish I had kept my LP 12 though)

This situation only serves to show how difficult developing and sustaining products in a niche market really is.

Classic era getting more and more to the end of its lifecycle, it lasted what, 20+ years, not bad at all in terms of longevity. I had SN2 and it was a cracking amp, which I guess was not far SQ wise from the SN3.
As Richard mentioned, it was a successful product, so there is no doubt Naim already have the new iteration in the pipeline, it must be a matter of time now to fill the gap if that statement is true, which I am sure is the case.
Given the NC slight change in naming compared to OC equivalent (272 to 222, etc), it’s curious to see how are they going to call it, SN5 is rather boring and obvious, they need a fresh and catchy name of the new one for sure. UltraNait 1
