What, more than your Termagant ?
Super super photo
Definitely Tobes.
Thank you.
Bedroom system there at last!
From top to bottom:
Nak Cassette Deck One;
Yamaha CDR-HD1500 hard drive/cd recorder. I upgraded the hard drive from the 250Gb it came with to 400Gb, so it now has capacity for over 600 hours of music in wav format, which is what it’s restricted to;
Audiolab 8200A integrated and Audiolab 8200T tuner;
Tascam DA-302 dual DAT.
Tascam and below:
Pioneer DV-LX50 DVD/DVD Audio/SACD/CD player
Yamaha MDX-793 Minidisc recorder.
Currently listening to it on Grado headphones, but my Castle Inversion 15 speakers are in position ready to be connected.
Due to my current state of ill health, I am resting a lot in bed, so having a nice system to listen to is a boon.
Very nice and I hope your health improves soon!
Not content with one system in the bedroom…
Beogram 4002, Beomaster 4400 and Beocord 2200. The Beogram sounds great through the Beomaster.
Cheers! I hope so too!
The LX-3 and LX-5 are lovely looking decks. They have a simple elegance about them.
Lovely shelves too
Got them from my local hi-fi place. Thought about going down the Atacama route, but they’re just too pricey (albeit very good).
Classic symptoms of “upgraditis”. My final system includes an nd5sx2 and a Sn3. Now I just enjoy the music!
Almost final.
Added the Vega G2.1
Moved the Vega G1 to the study.
And moved the Altair G1 to the TV room.
Multiroom streaming now completed.
On Thursday I bought a NAP 200 near Baden in Switzerland. On Friday I smuggled it into Italy. On Saturday I listen to it and feel there is a nice difference.
My SuperUniti is anything but an All-in-One. Now valiantly serving as a preamplifier.
Love the older B&O stuff. Pity their modern offerings are so darned ugly.
Thanks @TOBYJUG Interior decor isn’t my department short of building furniture and hanging things on walls I have very little involvement although the curtains are linen I believe and offer a bit more protection from the sun when the blinds are up, many Spaniards leave the blinds down 24/7 which just feels wrong.
Yes, shame it’s that way now.
My Dragon reinstalled.
Well over a year ago, it developed a strange problem, mainly on forward playback, where the auto azimuth would click frantically and the right meter peaked way above the left. It behaved like this intermittently and didn’t do it on reverse play or record.
I took it to my local hi-fi repair chap who had it from April last year until around two weeks ago. He could not pin down the issue, not helped by the fact that the deck wouldn’t misbehave when he wanted it to. He sought advice from Nak experts in the USA, who came up with various suggestions.
As he was getting nowhere, I decided to take it back. Over the past couple of weeks, I have used the Dragon to erase some 24 BASF chrome cassettes I bought used from the Bay, made some recordings and replayed some cassettes. It has behaved impeccably and seems to be back to its old self
I suspect that the problem might have been some dodgy contact, exacerbated by lack of use - the deck had lain idle for a good many months prior to the issue arising. Just goes to show that these things need to be used.
