Yes , yours sounds like a newer version. Possibly the model 75, which has a single top square section, and a round base. There are variation of the so called fork, the part embedded in the base that holds the lower arms and springs.
maybe like this…
(Not mine, but I sorted one like this for my son)
Or even newer version have cheaper arms of flat metal section, and a different arrangement for the flex entry into the shade and bulb holder.
Still not quite the same. The metal ‘arms’ (for want of a better word) come right down to the circular base, without the ‘bridge’ section shown in that photo. But the top half, with the flex coming out of and re-entering the metal ‘arms’ is pretty much identical.
Clive, I had the exact same difficulty when I posted a photo of my stacked QUAD ESLs the other day. I shall ask the same young lady to help post the iPhone photo (which I have just taken) when she comes next Tuesday.
Exactly that*, fergch, but stripped back to bare metal, and with an old-fashioned orange flex, which was my preference of the four or five in the shop. I no longer have the slightest idea how much I paid for it.
If that has black plastic hinges (which I think may be the case), then it’s still slightly different, as mine is metal throughout.
Interestingly there use to be a lot scorn thrown towards those that drifted now it seems it’s more than welcomed it’s encouraged. Thankfully were all obviously becoming a more tolerant gang.
Trying out a Linn Selekt edition hub with dual mono Organik dac line out modules. This is connected to the 250dr acting as power amp. Sounds absolutely wonderful as it should for $30,000. Effortless dynamic sound. Need to win lotto to get it however .
