I kind of expected that to be fair.
I think if I do go back to an MC cart on the Project, I’ll almost certainly get an appropriate Phono Stage to bring the best out of it instead of compromising.
Thank you for your insights🙂
I really like your Obelisks. I’m not surprised you’ve not found anything to replace them.
I think the best thing they do is scale. Any speaker can be played loud with a twist of the volume knob but they go from quiet to loud effortlessly (assuming it’s in the recording).
As should be!
Indeed they are!

I don’t think it’s a copy. it’s louis poulsen ph5.
Both are historical and classic lamps.
They have been on the market for years,
The ph 5 was designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen.
The ph5 is ingenious as well as beautiful, there is a vintage video on youtube where the designer himself explains its function.
Basically, it allows lighting through reflections and without annoying direct lighting.
In addition to these two, there are also other aesthetically similar lamps in that series
PS: I have a ph5 too
Indeed the ingenuity of Poul Henningsen’s designs. After a downsizing house move now 5 years ago, my wife and I kept the one in the photo above. ATB Peter
PS. Better not create more System Pics-drifts now
I need to investigate this when the girls are out
I was just catching up on you Nova speaker post but its now closed, did you settle on a particular pair? I have the Nova running with Kef LS50 Meta’s and a REL T7/x, required some time to balance the sub into the overall sound but well worth it and it compliments the Kef’s.
Aaah. I have made several changes since then.
That looks awesome. Glad you found a solution. I have not heard the kefs, but they are superb apparently.
Looks impressive.
well let’s have an update…am interested to see wha direction you took after the convo. Pics?
It was quite rapid and trying to remember the sequence…
PMC twenty5 22i
Sopra 2s…mistake
Sonus faber olympica nova 2s…love them
Nova swapped for 282/ndx2/250dr
Xpsdr added
Supercap added
250 switched for 300dr
282 switched to 252
wow that’s quite a spend. I bet your on first name terms with your HiFi guy :-0)) enjoy it…have you a pic of the ‘Final’ setup?
Yes, savings took a hammering. I also had dedicated mains installed which was well worthwhile for relatively little outlay. Best pic I have on my phone atm…
I can 100% relate to your dilemma!
That pesky music has a lot to answer for🤣
Impressive Isoblue Jenga you have there
I had a stack of Isoblue and let it go before moving house, do regret that now, works well.
Marital concerns require a single stack. Isoblue seems quite happy with this many levels. As much as I would like it, a fraim would not be.
I’ve always been a fan of it, easy to live with and fits in well domestically.
Olympica Nova’s look amazing
