Pic of TT, with string managing a pesky burndy and an I/C.
I’ve said to the out of sight flexy-light, one day me lad you might grow up to be an Anglepoise ™
Got my Michell TT out of storage to go with my NSC222. I rate the MM phono stage. Better than I thought it might be. The lamp is a Nordlux Alexander by the way
So, judging by the ‘cream’ colour of the DIN sockets, I’d guess at NAC32 or 42/HiCap/NAP140 from the CB era?
Good morning everyone,
System Pics 2023 is one of my favourite threads on the forum and I am always a litle disappointed when the promise of, say, eight new posts yeailds not a single photograph of hifi. However, a little bit of thread drift should be tolerated and Richard’s very diplomatic occasional “nudges” are well-judged and appropriate.
By coincidence, I am a member of another forum called Survive France, which serves as a forum for ex-pats in France (obviously). Interestingly, it looks as if the platform used in Survive France is identical to the Naim Forum platform, so comparisons are possible. The moderator(s) there are somewhat more relaxed about thread drift and it can be confusing.
Here is case in point, selected this morning - entirely at random - the title of a recent thread is “First Eye Cataract Op - immediate aftermath?”. The thread began on 20th March and the 57th of 61 posts to date reads “‘Disgusting, if you ask me. Not that I have concerns about my wife, my sheep have been watching her 24/7.” Go figure, as the young 'uns would say!
Keep up the good work Richard.
Best wishes,
Brian D.
To be fair Nigel has posted 7 different images of his very tidy system set up, one of which included a shelf position change!
NAC 62
HiCAP
NAP140
Yrs, all CB from late 1980’s, owned by me ever since…
Here are the fronts
Do not tell the stacking police!!
It makes complete sense. She’s not going to get impregnated by Postman Pat, because the sheep are keeping an eye on her.
I view it as an antidote to endless pictures of Fraim.
PostmanPat???
Where does he come in…
Surely it is that the sheep have all had a Eye Cataract Ops and can see perfectly, even in the dark, and when they are sleeping (assuming sheep sleep at some time in the 24 hours of the day)…
Anyway my point is if a comment is of no interest, or you do not understand, simply pass on to the next comment, no problem…
What is a Fraim???
In an attempt to get vaguely back on topic I thought this pic might be close enough!!
Not my system, but I do wonder if you have one of these antique tape machines at home.
Apparently, it is a 1932 Magnetófon prototype made by the German company, AEG. - This is one of the first magnetic recorders/players ever developed and constructed.
You may as well say “endless pictures of Naim”…
It’s good to see other racks, stands, tables, but this is a Naim forum so why wouldn’t Fraim feature?
An antidote by definition is something that counteracts an unpleasant feeling or situation which clearly doesn’t apply to the naim fraim as testified by the many happy owners here.
I am pleased you are now enjoying the music on your current system, and have it working so well in your listening room.
Apparently, it was the forerunner of the Big Rat….Joe 90
A very pleasant living room to listen to music imo. Lovely. Enjoy!
Just googled Nordost Alexander lamp. Thinking our favourite cable company is branching out.
Seems a typo of Nordlux
Oops yes! Sorry, Freudian slip maybe
