My wife owns my previous PMC Twenty5 23 speakers. I have owned ATC SCM40 (passive), ATC SCM40A (active) and PMC Twenty5 26 speakers, amongst others.
The current speaker that I own is the PMC Twenty5 23i. Nuff said.
I had PMC fact 8’s many years ago and tried the newer range from PMC - overpriced and underperforming was my conclusion. Fascinating how different speakers interact with our different rooms - ATC work so much better for me and PMC is not a path I would explore again.

I’ve downgraded my system. To my ears in my room not noticed any difference in sq.
U Roll Boom Bluetooth Speaker fed by IPad Pro.
Trane and Miles in support.
Think of all the money you’ll save.
It has Steely Dan and Iron Maiden to support it.
I thought it was the excellent Grateful Dead timemachine
I like the lamp, but I’m sure speaker is nice too (not wishing to be accused of contributing to any thread drift, of course).
That’s really clever.
Nice
All this lamp nonsense is getting very boring and tedious
Wearing your platforms?
Ovator s-600 Revelation!!!
Let me explain:
For 2,5 years now, i followed my dealers advice for speakers must be toe-in.
Today i decided to follow Naim’s instructions for positioning the speakers to look straight forward.
Oh Gosh!!!
Soundstage became bigger, bass is more clean and behaves more gently as does treble.
Some other benefits, positioning speakers straight forward:
- gained an extra 10cm from side walls, so now they are 50cm (as recommended by Naim)
- I don’t have to move balance knob at 11 o’clock anymore. Knob is in center & the balance is exactly as it should.
- No more buzzing from furniture & glass ( from rack).
I mean wow! A small difference in positioning made such a huge improvement.
Have you tried moving them even closer together?
Unfortunately there is no such possibility because the left speaker will be in front of the house door.
Just for the record speakers are 2.45m apart & 2.7m from the listening position.
And your system looks incredible from any angle
And that’s even more stunning.
