It’s very probably the picture.
Yes definitely the picture and all the reflections!
The CD5SI is a very competent player in my view,
Worth trying out connecting using decent RCAs.
I was pleasantly surprised.
I have just finished decorating the family/games room. This is an older set up from when an AV system was required. Yamaha surround amp, B&W 683 S2 floostanders plus Centre speaker. I still have 4 B&W m1 sats and sub I could connect, but I really enjoy how it is as is.
Seen some pictures of audiophiles in Taiwan . Due to the recent earthquake , many of their kits had been damaged due to the quake , speakers falling off , kits falling off… my god … due to forum rules , can’t post the pics here
This is why I have held off getting any Fraim or Fraim-like rack.
Given a jolt, those decoupled shelves will just turn a 250 into a cannonball.
I’ve never see any multi-tier decoupled racks sold in the far east. And I am sure that is the reason.
It’s a sad sight seeing those pics … Sigh
Are you sure it just didn’t have one too many and is sleeping one off?
Yup am sure , there’s more pics but I can’t post here
In my opinion. Nicest room setup here. Simply beautiful. Well done.
If you like a spacious, contemporary, elegant living room with a stunning panorama…
There is nowt wrong with a humble system, I would say that is not a humble system it is modest in size .
Not modest in what it does, others like HH have pared down their system to a box plus speakers and are very happy
Magnificent!
It’s a beautiful place !
Photographic proof of how some people need to go to desperate positioning extremes to get their speakers to sound good.
If I had a piano gloss black finish on my loudspeakers, I don’t think I’d lay them on the floor without something to protect them. In fact I wouldn’t do that whatever finish.
It’s been exterminated.
Oh yes, I’ve just read up the thread and understand that was a result of the earthquake. That’s most unfortunate.
I got the new player on Monday, so this is only the third day out of the factory box. Mixed feelings so far as it isn’t anything like the 20 year old CDX2. At least not yet, but I do hope the sound opens up a bit later.
