Unquestionably…
Scandalous that NAIM permit dealers this incompetent to sell Statement and 500 level stuff!
So simple, so lovely.
Thanks Bluesfan. It make’s me happy and all I really need in this small room.
Lovely “little” system.
Beautiful what’s the glass top layer underneath the deck.?
Thank you A. That’s actually an Aluminium platform called the Eklipse made by the same company who make the plinth Tangerine Audio.
Looks beautiful. How would you describe the difference sonically?
I picked one up second hand for under £1k. Definitely worthy of that outlay in my system
The early evening sun was pouring across the room tonight and made for some nice photos…
Finally found the time to finish our “Analogue First” system recently.
(That is to say our vinyl records and our 1986 Linn LP12 Sondek is the primary media and source in this system).
Here’s an update…
Stripped everything in the Kallax units down, cleaned, dusted, straightened and fixed the IKEA units so all square, level and tidy. Changed the configuration of the Kallax shelving and how the audio pieces are arranged. Made a big effort on all the cable dressing, behind the scenes. Added the custom glass shelves and Fraim isolation components. Furniture feet all secured onto IsoAcoustic Gaia carpet spikes.
Think I’m finally finished setting up this system now.
Linn LP12 Sondek (a version of Selekt) → Naim SuperLine + Naim HiCap DR psu.
Naim NAC72 + Naim HiCap → Naim NAP140.
Digital duties performed by Innous ZENmini mk3 S + Innous LPSU.
For access to our 1000+ CD collection on SSD server archive.
One slight difference for this latest “System Pic” - from our normal system set up - currently using PMC Twenty5 23i active speakers, (instead of usual Epos ES14’s). See profile for full details.
All affectionately known as “ Shoe Box HiFi “ in our house.
Happy sunny evenings
Best wishes

Gosh that shoebox system is cool!
Love it, especially the clean set up and the arrangement of boxes highlighting the different styles.
I was trying to buy a NAP500 but almost got burned a couple of times then a Dave came up at a price too good to miss and for exactly the value I had managed to save towards the power amp. I’ve always wanted to hear one of these at home and being quite partial to a trip across the country to pick up “yet another black box”…
A few trades later, the NAIT50 is patiently waiting for another go whilst the 52 (which I somehow now have 2 of) is playing nicely with a really lovely 250
With funds depleted the only choice of source is an Auralic mini but I have to say the dac adds something special to the mix and Dave really is quite a a magical bit of kit
Looks fantastic, it really does. But, I’m concerned that you don’t have enough records….
Yeah, I was worried about that too. You can never have enough records ![]()
Looks great!
