The blue light is the Lumin U2, with Ifi power elite and Chord signature BNC cable.
The P10 is gone.

You may want to move the speakers out from the wall behind them. ATC does specify a certain distance so that the internal amps don’t overheat. Best to review your owners manual. Nice speakers!

They are about 20cm from the wall and aren’t getting hot at all, just warm after a few hours use.

The speakers are 2m apart and firing across the room and are 2m from my listening position so the only alternative would be to fire them down the other wall which would put the listening position in front of the door (I’ve measured it all). I think it’s all good.

Looks a nice place to listen to music - enjoy

It is and everything seemed to come together last night. I did a space optimisation yesterday which seems to have consolidated the sound in a good way. Sounding better than they have since installed. It was a ‘What just happened?’ Moment

A few updates since System Pics 2023 - #2837 by Catcat

  • SN2 >> 282/250DR
  • HCDR >> SCDR
  • Quadraspire rack >> Isoblue Special Branch
  • Full speaker refurb - new caps, inductors, wiring, tweeters rebuilt, sanding/re-oiling, and lot more TLC.

SCDR is a few days in, the rest of the changes were done before floor replaced 2 weeks ago. More midrange and detail now. Slight echo to address which some more canvas prints and curtains to cover glass pane doors at the back will help. The one behind the kit has a 2 inch deep frame so might try filling that and new ones with insulation.

I like to hear what you think about moving from the ndx to ndx2?

An absolute favorite, Audiovector R6 AA, heard them a couple of times. I have the siblings SR3.

Simply beautiful.
I’m loving the system, Isoblue and the wood grain on your speakers is wonderful. :+1:

Thank you. They’re my folk’s old speakers which I blew at a 90’s house party and liberated when they moved house a few years ago. I grew up listening to them, we’re the same age (1973 :grimacing:) and I don’t recall them ever being the colour they are now - see photos from 2022 rescue. Was v surprised when they came back from the refurb like this - but very happy with the new finish.

I loved my NDX and was a bit sceptic when people told me that moving to NDX2 would blow my mind. Have done listening sessions at retail and it for sure sounded more than Ok but hard do measure against my NDX in my home environment. Never bothered to do a home demo.

Found a s/h at an ok price around X-mas and decided to finally go for it, as the retailer ”promised” that I would be super happy.

And yes, I am super happy. I would describe it as removing a layer of curtains and adding more bass. Not in a ”loudness button way”, more a matter of more punch. It has taken my setup to the next (and final, I hope…) level.

Anything negative? Yes, some minor things:

I can not say that I love the remote control, and the fact that you can not access your Upnp server using the remote (only works through the app) annoys me. And I would love to be able to adjust brightness on the display.
